Browser-Based Secure Communication Platform
Cloud-native encrypted communication that works entirely in the browser—no email client required.
How It Works
This patent takes our encryption technology into the cloud era. Instead of relying on email clients, the system receives data directly from a sender’s browser running on their computer. Before encrypting, it verifies whether the recipient is a subscriber. If so, it generates a sender key, encrypts the data, wraps the key with an asymmetric key pair, protects it with a master key, and generates a hyperlink to the encrypted content—all initiated from a browser session rather than an email client.
It builds on the same key hierarchy from the earlier encryption work while adding the browser-based interface and subscriber verification model.
What Makes It Different
- Browser-first design: data originates from a browser instance, not an email client, making it cloud-native from the ground up.
- Subscriber verification: the system checks whether recipients are subscribers before processing, enabling different handling for verified vs. unverified recipients.
- Same key hierarchy: leverages the proven Master Key, asymmetric key pair, and sender key architecture from the foundational patents.
- Hyperlink delivery: encrypted content is accessed via generated hyperlinks, keeping the zero-installation recipient experience.
Why It Matters
The workplace has moved to the browser. Bracket’s encryption technology meets organizations where they work—in the cloud, in the browser, without requiring traditional email client software. It’s the foundation for Bracket Share and represents Mailprotector’s commitment to making encryption invisible.
